It's a demo unit, only Microsoft staff has access to it. (Access to open and insert media)

the RROD demo unit i can put the blame on MS for the faulty device.
But this time it could really just be stupidity of the person putting the disc in. without more evidence all this is is 360 bashing for any reason. Yes it's amsuing to see that someone would have left it that way, But without knowing WHY and HOW, you're just speculating and using it as pointless bashing against microsoft.
how do you know the person in charge of loading the disc didnt put in the wrong one accidently? put it in backwards, put in a scratched disc without looking? or was stupid enough to try and move the console while the disc was in it and ruin it himself.
Thats not a 360 problem. Thats a user error.

Expy is an idiot.
Go make love to your inferior PS3. I had my Xbox for a year and half and had 0 problems...game selection is better, online gaming is better, framerate is better.
The only thing Ps3 has is blue ray...that's it. So go whisper sweet nothings into your precious blue-ray player.

Don't need to make love to it, I don't need to do anything to it for it to work properly. You clearly don't have a PS3 so your comments have gone through the window.

The 360 in the booth is enclosed on three sides by plexiglass. How would a PS3 fare under those conditions? This isn't a hardware problem, it's a logistics problem. Again it comes down to someone being an idiot and designing a stage podium with no ventilation. If you are going to flame the 360, make sure it's for a legitimate problem. Don't jump to conclusions just because it's what the headline tells you.
Note: there is also speculation that what you see is not the infamous RRoD. Three lights will also flash in that manner if the cables are not plugged in correctly. I don't know if it's the RRoD or not, so I won't really place too much faith in this. I'm also not brave enough to go unplug the cables to my 360 to test it.

Well, Microsoft designed the demo unit, they are the ones responsible for maintaining it and the functioning of it. All other consoles' demo units are enclosed as well (albeit the Wii doesn't produce much heat at all). The three rings indicates a hardware failure (both temporary and permanent), so something failed. The disc read error that later occurred is either software related (bad DVD, but Microsoft put it in so who knows), or hardware malfunction.

you'rebeing stupid.
yes something failed. But again something failed because someone was being a tool. Yes they might have worked for Microsoft, But for you to spout that the 360 is a dud of a machine and a failure waiting to happen because of an idiot, well, thats like me saying that all goalies are ****ing tool fanboy's because yuo are one.
