Microsoft's XBOX 360 dies at Game Developers Conference 08

Microsoft wants consumers to believe that its problems with the Xbox 360 console in terms of hardware failure are over.

But wandering through the Game Developers Conference halls and it's clear that the problem persists.

On Microsoft's own stand at the show one of the demo consoles has a rather familiar problem - the red ring of death. There's no way of knowing if this particular console was manufactured before or after Microsoft identified the problems with the machines.

No the other thread was to discuss BLu-Ray vs HD-DVD, and that war is over. Blu-Ray won. It was going off track. And this is a completely separate story. Sorry skippy.

Check the official manufacturer's websites for detailed info...

This source has a comparison but there are a few hiccups:

PlayStation 3 vs. Xbox 360: Tech Head-to-Head - GameSpot Tech - Computers, Video Cards, Monitors, Laptops, Cell Phones, Home Theater and more

To Thumper: You go no the assumption that the XBOX 360 has served everyone better than the Playstation 3 has during the year, and that is wrong. I've had more utility out of my Playstation 3 than my Wii and XBOX 360 combined. That also takes into account the time my XBOX 360 was in repair (if you want to call replacement repair). Your little cartoon goes both ways.

It's funny, you think you can talk back, but you don't even own the console you're trying to denigrate.

If you don't own it or plan on owning it, you're not entitled to comment on it (even if you do, it can easily be ignored). As far as I'm concerned.

You're calling me a fanboy when you're the one who only has 1 console, as if you knew what you were talking about.
