Can you give some proof of this. No, a single journalist saying it is not sufficient.

What American's were 'arbitrarily detained'? Shooting at us in Afghanistan is not arbitrary detainment.

Just because you don't like who won does not mean he cheated. How about the Democratic voters in Seattle? Tens of thousands of dead people voted there to barely defeat a Republican. Also, Republican's lost both the House and Senate in 2006. How did GWB obstruct honest elections there?

Joe Wilson's wife was NOT a covert agent and her employment at the CIA was already well known (daughter telling people that mommy works at the CIA doesn't help). Also, he(already had stated his views on things) was chosen due to his wife's influence. It was political before he ever got there.
To support this monkey is pretty much the most anti-American you can do.

Lenders and brokers were negligent in doing their homework, to make sure that the borrowers could pay back those loans (yes, it is the lender's fault if they don't do a thorough background check; you just don't hand over several hundred-thousand dollars to a stranger).
The Fed Bank encouraged this with ridiculously low interest rates.
At most, Bush and Congress might have encouraged it as well. Setting an example by running up monstrous deficits with little heed to how it's going to get paid for. If the government treats money like toilet paper, the population will treat it like toilet paper.

Couldn't agree with this post any more. Seriously... It isn't Bush's fault. But what I do despise is the bailouts that have been put forth. Nothing like rewarding people for their own stupidity.
This sort of stuff is the economic version of Darwin's theory of natural selection and as far as I am concerned if you make a stupid loan and the person paying it back defaults...you were stupid by not properly managing your risk. And if you were stupid enough to take an adjustable rate loan and thinking that interest rates would continue to drop...well then you're a fool. See PT Barnum for fools and their money.
But as stated in the homeowner thread....other people's loss is my gain. I take no pride in it. It is sad to see a family displaced, but they can't afford it, I can and I need it. So in about 15 minutes my engineer will tell me if I am making a sound investment or not!

Yup. And I agree that this bailout is nothing but a political ploy. Because the electorate needs to see something being done, especially in an election year.

Funny, if a Republican college student supports the war, he's a chickenhawk.
If said Republican military-aged-male joins the Army, and is anything less than an Airborne Ranger, he's just a REMF.
And for the record, worst president ever is Carter. Hands down.

I'm not arguing anything. I made the comment because it was obvious it didn't come from him, I just wanted to see where it originated from.
Don't jump to conclusions and start assuming you know where people stand just because they would like to see a source for someone elses post.

How can Bush be incompetent if he managed to cover up the fact he was behind 9/11?

I think its more a matter of things that happened to fall under his watch...
Sure 911 was planned YEARS in advance
and Katrina could have happened to any president,
and yeah the housing market bubble did have to do with shady lending tactics
but I mean come on how many of these do you need to see before there is a common thread... ?

WTF I have never ever stated that Bush was behind terrible acts of 9/11. I have said that 9/11 commission is a joke which its clearly is, the whole truth truth about 9/11 is not avaible for the public. But just because its a cover up doesnt proove Bush adm was behind it.
RyJ why dont you get it that Bush is a total disaster and makes USA looks like fascists? Almost everyone else in your country have had enough of his lies and incompetence.

So the 9/11 Commission is covering it up? What reason would they have to do that?

I dont know ofcourse but I can speculate. It would proof how voulnereble(sp) USA was for big scale terrorist attacks and other terrorists group could get this message and plan more and maybe even bigger attacks on US soil. Just look how easy it is to cross the American border. I can only speculate on this subject ofcourse.
