Hey Jon, you got the initials to be a saviour. As a goalie, you're pretty much on top of the net-working already, no?
Thanks, I'll be here all week, you guys have been great!

 Hi everyone,
after scoping out the reviews and other articles, I decided to join, I played goal to last year bantam aa, took 15 years off and I have been back on the ice for the past 2 years. Best thing I have done in the last 2 years lol. Just wanted to introduce myself and to give a "Hodges" thumbs up to creator(s),moderators, members of this site.

New to the GoalieStore...
Hi folks, came across this site while searching for some old gear to fill in the gaps from my vintage stuff that I still wear. Haven't played hockey for about 25 years, but I'm starting to get back into it, since I have a 8 year old who now plays in the Atom league as a defenceman. I've dug up a lot of my old gear, upgraded parts of it, and have started to get back into the swing of things.
Here's the gear I currently have:
Pads: 34" Bourdon (Jofa) all leather
Trapper: Cooper GM21, full-right
Blocker: Cooper GM6 (bought from a member here! - want a GM12)
UpperBod: Itech Prodigy
Mask: Itech Profile 1400
Hope to post some photos in the coming weeks. Hope even more to find a seller of a blue Canadien goalie stick (kind used by myself and Sevigny for a time) in either Right or Straight blade.... I miss mine
Cheers,
Rich

Hey all,
I've lurked for quite a while, but as goaltending has always been hugely important in my life, I decided to join and now introduce myself.
My name is Jon, I'm from Fredericton, N.B. Canada. I started playing about 17 years ago. Got as far as trained with Bantam AAA back in high school, but just played AA. I took several years off and am now playing in Gentlemens league in town. I play 2-3 times a week and am as excited about playing as I was as a kid.
When I'm not playing, I'm a library assistant by day, musician by night. This board is an AWESOME resource and I'm glad to join.
I'm quite new to disposable income, so my gear is not new, but pretty solid and does the job:
Koho 570 trapper and blocker, about 3 years old
Bauer Supreme 3 pads 34inch.
Bauer Supreme C&A
RBK 8k pants
and a 12 year old Van Velden mask
I use RBK 5k Huet sticks which are awesome.
I look forward to posting!

Newbie to GSBB
Hey all, I'm Telgip33 (Carl)
I've been playing goal for 15 years, but didn't start until I was 17 and have never had any real training.....and it shows. I got into playing goal because I love the gear, it was always so cool looking. Now with all the new colours and designs the sky is the limit to what you can put on your gear. I was lucky enough while in College in Ottawa to get to work with Tom Kay for 2 summer, and actually got to make my own custom goalie gear.
Now I make my living selling custom curved stairs, but on the weekends I work at a Goalie Shop here in Calgary so I can be like a kid in a Candy store every weekend
As for playing I play in a rec/beer league once a weekend to try and keep the rust off.
My Gear:
Kay TR930 - Have re-lased the outside edge one, and stiffened the "T" as after 10 years it was getting a little soft.
Kay BL1000 - Have repaired a skate cut to the front gusset, and applied some "shoe goop" to seal the repair seam.
Kay 32" Eclipse Pads with custom short top - I guess by todays sizing they would be "32 -". I'm not a butterfly goalie so these stand up pads have done me well. The leg channel is DEEP (full 3" lip on each side)and the pads stick to your legs. The only repairs I've done is some "shoe goop" to seal a few skate nicks.
Kay C/A - Have not had to do a thing to it
Kay Pants - Have had to do a few sewing repair on the backside.....I like to sit on my skates
Ollie 7000 Mask - New this year so still white and waiting for a paint job
Bauer Skates - So old the number has come off
Heaton Pro 90z Jock - Getting old need a new one
RBK 6K Huet Stick - replaced my 4.8 itech and doing well.

Hi all,
My name is Toby and I'm from New Zealand. As you can probably guess I'm a huge MAF fan (and not cause of his pads )
I've been playing goal for about 4 years now and I am steadily improving my game and becoming a lot more comftable on the ice and with my game.
My gear is as follows:
Pads: Sher-wood Sher-lite 6's, 32" (need upgrading, getting too small)
Gloves: Eagle Fusion 'X' graphic
Pants: Sher-wood 9950
C/A: Vaughn Legacy 1400
Skates: Bauer Supreme 1000
Mask: Itech Profile 1000 'viper graphic'
Stick: an old KOHO Revoloution 'Potvin curve' (it's outlasted my newer KOHO and RBK sticks and it only cost me $10 at an antique sale )
Anyway that's a bit about me. Look forward to posting

New to GSBB
Hey everyone. I have been looking on this site for awhile and thought I might as well join. I was a goaltender for 12 years making it to major junior before an injury took me out for quite some time. 14 years later here I am back in the game playing 2-3 a week and I am Hockey Operations Manager/Goalie Instructor for a new Player/Goalie Development company. I look forward to chatting with all of you.
My gear is as follows
pads- Vaughn V2 34" (swirl pattern)
glove- Vaughn V2
blocker- Vaughn Epic 8000
chest- Vaughn Epic 8000
pants-RBK SR
skates-Bauer Supreme 3000
mask-Sportmask (razor) Tribal pattern
As you can see I like my Vaughn. Always had it since I was a kid. Tried RBK, not a big fan. Same with the skates, find them more comfortable than anything else out there.

Hi, I'm Paolo.
As a lot of people, I've been lurking around getting info on gear, tips on playing, etc. Very helpful board and a great resource. I'll be doing some reviews on some of my gear soon to return the favor. When I get some time, I'll be doing reviews on...
Itech 7.8 X-Wing Elite Pads 33" + 1 (2007)
Vaughn Vision Pads 33" (2004)
Nxi Phantom Helmet (2002)
TPS Summit SR Blocker (2006)
Bauer Reactor 3000 Goal Skates (2002)

Hello to all
My name is Trent.
I've been a goalie all my life but have only realized life between the pipes since I was 17. I played in Midgets in High School and then some Beer league hockey after that. Been out of the loop for afew years and I'm just getting back into it again.
As for gear:
Skates - CCM 4.0
Pads - Bauer 34"(older not sure which line, Attached a pic)
Pants - Itech 4.8
C & A - Itech 4.8
Catcher - Bauer (matches Pads)
Blocker - TPS
Helmet - Itech 4600
Stick - TPS
I think that covers the current gear. Most of the stuff is pretty much new but I'm looking at a new set of Itech RX5 Pads/Catcher/Blocker.
Hope to have some useable info to share with everyone!
