Now I know who you be.
Check out the cinderblock wall "boards".
Deptford Skating Rink PWNS.
The good o days were when the rink went to the end of the building and the fancy boards and glass were not there. Simply the building wall and a door or two that lead outside.

I'm very happy to finally be admitted into the GSBB!
I'm 14 years old and I have been playing hockey for 13 months. Last season I played for a Bantam house team, and this year I'll play midget and hopefully HS. (Wish me luck in tryouts! )
I use 34+2'' ******* 993s (The best pads ever made ), a P1 trapper, and 6k blocker.

Happy to be here
Good morning,
Just joined, so I'll introduce myself. My real name's Heather. I'm 38 years old. For some reason, I decided, at the age of 37 to put on skates for the first time and play hockey. And, at the same time, I decided that I should play in net. Yes, I do believe that insanity runs in the family. Actually, it's my husband's fault, he started a month before me. He plays forward. So, we are both figuring this out as we go. In fact, he is the one who found this board for me. For now, we are both playing open hockey and weekly games with a club. It's a slow go, but we are learning, and the people we play with in the club are great. I'm really looking forward to reading EVERYTHING on this board. I need all the help I can get. In the year and a half that I have been playing, I have dislocated one knee, wiped out both MCLs at the same time once, and taken out three different fingers with shots that slipped under my blocker. Playing with the men is dangerous! On the positive side, it is also a blast! I was never an athlete in school, so I am having a great time with this. I've also found that this is a fun way to lose weight. 40 pounds off and no diet. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

^Good for you. Another female goalie checking in.
I have played for 15 years, always been in goal. Played in the NCCP, NWHL, CIS incl Nationals, Ontario Winter Olympics and been lucky (or unlucky) enough to play in goal against Team USA at lake Placid. Now playing and coaching abroad. I will post more later

New Guy Here
Hello fellow goalies. My name is Steve. I have played goal for about 50 years, played out just one game in my whole life, hated it. There was too much ice behind me.
Currently I play twice a week plus tournaments. I missed most of last season due to hip replacement surgery but am back between the pipes this year, have played a dozen or so times since early September.
I use mainly Vaughn equipment, custom fitted pads/gloves now about 10 years old (replacement trapper 3 years ago). My skates are Graf and I am most fortunate to own a Greg Harrison mask from the mid 80's.
The name "Wonder"? I wasn't having a particularly good tournament a few years back and after a rather mediocre performance one of my defenceman said that I was playing goal like Stevie Wonder ......... sheesh, this from a defenceman? Anyway, the name stuck and the next season the name Wonder was stitched onto my new jersey.
Keep your stick on the ice.

hey
Hello, my name is Mike and I have only played goalie for about seven years. I played for Midget A Major Allegheny Badgers, AA Greater Pittsburgh Huskies, high school (Kiski Area), and practiced with my friends at AAA Pittsburgh Vipers. I am currently playing ACHA D1 hockey for Slippery Rock University. Fleury is the best goalie in my opinion, and I have met him a couple times. I have actually got to put on his game used gloves(I have a picture of me in them on here). I just purchased custome reebok premier 3 glove, blocker, and leg pads, with a V3 chest and arm, rbk pro goalie pants, and Eddy pro ultimate mask. Thats about it.

TrailerKings was the name of a hockey team I founded in the late 1990s. I played defence. I started playing goal in December of last year at a memorial game for a friend of mine who died in a car accident. A graphic designer who also played in the game made these hockey card style photos. "Swede" was a nickname for the friend who passed away.

Hey gang, Kevin here. I've got some pro stock goal gear from the Tampa Bay Lightning that I am looking to unload. I also have player pants coming out the wazoo.
