All the Wendy's around here closed bout 2 years ago. The franchisee stole like 50 million and ran.

rookie mistakes...

Ya, I messed up. I didn't even know what "flame" meant until I joined this board back in January. I read a whack of posts before posting and almost every post had 10 to 15 guys "flaming" people for asking questions that have already been asked.

Naturally, to avoid confrontation, I offensively aksed about breaking in a glove, preceeded with a "Please witchhunters, don't yell at me" speech. The mess that followed was embarrassing.

Here I am nary 4 months on the board and I already feel like a seasoned veteran. The learning curve is sharp - I've gotten off my lazy ass and actually used the search function with some effect. I've only caused one other "flame" session, but it was my fault, and I accept that.

I actually PayPal'd Aaron a dollar for being a dumb noob and he, being the classy dude he is, declined it.

Now I'm happy, looking up info on the things I need to know about and trying really hard to only contribute where necessary (this post excluded).

Well most people don't take the time to do this. IMO it should be mandatory that when someone signs in for the first time they are given a small tutorial of the search button, not to overpost, Flaming, etc, so that they have an idea of how the site runs and the basics of posting.

+1

I know there are stickied threads covering those ideas, but seriously, how many people actually take the time to read them?

P.S. In deference to another recent thread, I would like to commend nik for a well-thought out, maturely vocalized, relatively easy-to-read post. If memory serves, he is one of the younger members, and his peers would do well to emulate his class in this post.

This board is very tame. You should check out my gaming forum.

PESTGAMING.COM - Index

Post something if you dare. That's all I'm going to say.

You guys have no idea how civil this place is compared to other forums out there.

I moderate caraudio.com, which is the biggest car audio forum on the internet, and it's a crap-fest. Spend a little while reading through 'The Lounge', and you'll realize how civil you guys are here...

Yeah, well he sent me a money order to get some pads for him locally. I spent the money on hookers and scotch, gave him a fake FedEx tracking number, and he thinks the pads are coming tomorrow!!!! He may be classy, but he's also a sucker.

(Yes, I am kidding. I am way too smart to use a fake tracking number. I got ahold of a legit one and gave him that instead. It gives me a few more days until he realizes he's been had)
