I like this a lot.
Black Star is Mos Def and Talib Kweli. Both very good.

Talib did some songs with Dilated Peoples a few years back. Great stuff if you can find it.

Mos Def has definitely achieved 'greater' success out of the two. A bit 'MTV' these days, but definitely a poet and definitely outspoken and opinionated. Has some really good things to say though…

You're like the guy on Youtube who pops in just to say the song sucks

It's something different. I listen to rock all day long and sometimes variety is a necessity.

Check out this online station: WEFUNK Radio - Hip-Hop & The Original Funk . They're from Montréal and play mostly funk with some Hip Hop and jazz.

If you wanna look me up on My Space..."/BMR38"(Rich aka Bboy4Life). I can add you on my friends list, help spread you around.
I get described as the fat one in the glasses, Burmadan. Only cos Jimmy Love is such a bean pole!!!!!!!!!

Black Star was a great CD. Most people don't know Mos Def as a rapper, but he is pretty good. I'm a huge fan of all his work, he is a fantastic actor. Check out the song 'Oh No' by Mos Def, Pharoahe Monch and Nate Dogg. Great song.

Another good Mos/Talib song is This Means You from Talib's Reflection Eternal CD.

^^^See, this is what i DO NOT consider quality Hip Hop. Kids talkin smack like they've been living the ruff life forever. They probably have curfews and Sunday dinners and cushy homes to go to.

If you've lived a hard life and wanna share it to teach a lesson to avoid that road, i'm all for it, but this is whack.

I've heard a few songs by Immortal Technique...I've been listening to some early 90's Wu-Tang stuff recently...especially the album Liquid Swords by GZA. The blend of audio from old Kung Fu movies with the tracks is awesome.

They are from a small little potato farming town . It was filmed behind a pizza place in town .

They are all pretty much failures, they don't have sunday dinners, or curfews, because they're too cool for school
