I am very sorry for your loss. I am a veteran of the first Gulf war. I know a void has been created. Time will soften the blow.

I wish there was something that I could say to make it all better, but unfortunately there is nothing that can make this go away for you.
As time goes by, it does get better, but for now, it just really and truly sucks.

What can be said that hasn't already? So sorry for your loss. But, as has been said, you must go on. Sounds like he was Helluva a guy. Keep him in your heart. (I don't think that will be too hard.)
