That was probably the most touching post I've ever read on any message board.
I am truly sorry for your loss.

I have a friend who just shipped out, I can't even imagine.

Holy, your tribute to your friend is very touching and demonstrates your love for him. I'm really sorry to read about your loss, I can only imagine your pain. So many senseless deaths of so many outstanding young people...

Holy, I am so sorry to hear about Isaac. I wish there was something I could say or do to ease the pain that you and his parents feel.

Holy
I am deeply sorry about your loss. My sympathies go to you and Isaac's family and friends. No repayment is necessary to us for our caring. That is to say your compassion to the next member that needs it. We are a big board, and every member on here will need the support of the others at some point.
Just rememeber this. Isaac may be gone, but your dreams together aren't. Open your bar, hockey shop, strip club. Play hockey. Go to your Av's games, Rockies games, and CU vs. CSU football game. You may not be doing those things together, but he'll be with you for all of it. Remember, his touch is everywhere; your cat, your hockey jerseys, your sticks, your xbox, and most importantly your heart. I think a Guiness hockey jersey would be a great investment. And, if the Avs actually do start shooting thepuck, maybe it will be because of him.
Go have a Guiness for you, and one for him - use your bottle opener. Let us be strong for you for a while.

Thank you all, once again, for all the well wishes. Knowing that I have a wonderful support group here is helping me in ways I never could have imagined.
It's been a long day at work; I don't really want to be here, and of course, all kinds of problems seem to be popping up. However, whenever I start really feeling down, I log on and check this thread. You guys (and gals) are the pillars that are supporting my soul right now, and keeping me from getting too down.
This article was in our local newspaper today; they interviewed myself, as well as another of our close friends. I think it sums things up very well, and I wanted to share it with everyone (I'm Brett).

Stay strong, homey. He's only gone in body and you should be incredibly proud you were best friends with someone like Isaac.

just like the rest here i'm very sorry to hear the news -
it requires an uncommon spirit and strength, to go knowingly into that type of dangerous situation, that not everyone possesses; your friend was very brave and is missed by many.
keep your head up and remember the good times together when you can.
