Alright, I tossed my name in the hat to mod the Dressing Room forum. I ran last year, got one vote (my own  ) and wasn't going to put in again this year, as the embarrasment wasn't worth it........
But after reading the hot stove the last couple of weeks, and interestingly enough, the Mod Election thread, I feel that I would be an ideal candidate to be a moderator for it.
I have a passing tolerance of politics, I read a lot with interest but take no strong views (which would be perfect for the debates going on right now) and have an above average comprehension of what would be considered crossing the line (based on some fine mod work by our very own adavis and kevinsane). If I can be half as good as those guys for patrolling the Hot Stove, I would feel like I did a good job.
I don't post often, but I would like to think that when I do, I am clear and have a point in mind, and usually done with a dash of good humor.
Vote for me!

I would just like to say sorry for my posts in the Ebay thread a week ago.
It was stupid and childish. I knew it was wrong, and I got banned for a couple days. I deserved it and wish that the nominees and voters would maybe look past this incident What I said in the thread is just not true. I think I was just caught u in the moment.. I feel that it is not a good way to judge me, and I feel that I can be a good mod here at the GSBB.

The truth is, you didn't have an uncharacteristic emotional outburst. We've ALL done that, and it's forgivable. You deliberately ignored GSBB rules to try and circumvent the Classifieds, in hopes of making money faster. Your actions were not those of someone "caught up in the moment". They were calculated and, again, deliberate.
You're not a bad guy, but you lack the maturity and credibility to be an Equipment Mod.
You currently Mod at GEW, do you not? Who has time for both, anyway?

Yeah, I am a mod at the GEW, but I just didn't think it would cause that many problems with time? Is a mod job here really that time consuming?
Yes, I did try to make money quick, and I will admit that. I was talking about what I said in one of those posts. |
