Maybe that is a collective maturing of the community, or the fact that the crap disturbers might have left.

Either way, there are about 5 or so active mods on this board, day to day, whom I will list below:

Fram
Adavis
Cuban
GoalieAtWork
Kevinsane

These guys have been money. They handle the bulk, if not all of the moderating duties as far as I can tell. And they have done so admirably.

Can we just keep the existing mods(provided they want to stay) and not have another popularity contest where we might lose one of these mods or more?

I think it is the best solution.
Just because people haven't aired their grievances in public, doesn't mean there haven't been any. Current mods? Four of the five on your list have been great, one has been a complete tool. That's all I'll say, other than voting accordingly.

Also, a voting option of "no" (or none of the above) should be on the ballot for each position, especially if the candidate is looking at acclamation.

I am officially running for the Dressing Room.

My past history will show no obligation to any political party, religious party, or individuals 'parties', so to speak.

I read everything here, and know who you all are. Even a lot of the noobs. (I obviously don't post as much as I used to, but I would chime in when control is necessary, whether it pertains to me or not))

I just 'get it', when something goes awry.

Votes would be appreciated.

Be a man and name names. I will suspect you're in the minority on who is the tool, but I for one would be interested in who you think is a tool and why.

This is possible. You don't have to vote for every category. For instance, many members do not use the hot stove forums and so they may have no opinion as to who should manage that area.

Be a man? Is this upping the ante?
You do not have to enter a public debate as to why you do, or do not like some people. You are entitled to your own opinion and that has nothing to do with being a "man", thats defined by other things.

This is not a popularity contest (though sadly it is what it boils down to).

PS I think 2 of the above mentioned are bona-fide "tools"

It's a matter of being accountable. If you're going to say someone from a list of people is a tool, tell us who and why. It is a matter of being an adult. I for one have always been very candid with who I do and do not like, and the reasons why. Facts are that with a few exceptions I pretty well like everyone here. There have been mods in the past that I had no respect for the way they handled their duties and I was very public and vocal about it.

And I guess, yes it is a matter of upping the ante. Because a child goes around saying 'I don't like someone' but refuses to stand up and say it. It's being passive aggressive and quite frankly I have no stomach for it.

I have actually found out who it is that Bryan dislikes as that person has told me.

No, he said he will not vote for one person here. This is also known as the process of democracy, you have voiced your opposition to this system, but he can vote and not vote for people he choses and not tell anyone why he has done so.

Accountable? I find you are being somewhat disingenuous with that little word so I will not retort.
