Nice job, how long did it take you to memorize it?

Well, Reverend James Dobson delivered an excellent endorsement of Obama...
ABC News: Sen. Obama Clashes with Christian Conservative Leader
Quote:
|
"I think he's deliberately distorting the traditional understanding of the Bible to fit his own world view, his own confused ideology," Dr. James Dobson, leader of the Christian group Focus on the Family said Tuesday in his daily radio show.
|
If Dobson says that sort of stuff about Obama, then I consider it a strong reason to vote for him. Focus on the Family are not nice people interested in increasing the overall level of civil rights in the US. If they criticize someone's theology, then it's probably over their hot-button issues, over most of which I disagree with them.

I wonder if he wanted to, would they let him come to their church? Seems you can't be Christian, you have to be a certain kind of Christian to be approved by them. Sad. How does someone so narrow minded attract so many followers

The usual way: by claiming to have the answer that no one else has, and by promising gifts in return for loyalty. All leaders do this.

There used to be a Sambo's in Creighton, Sask when I lived up there. The Sask Human Rights Commission forced them to change their name. Changed it's name to "The Pepperpot", then later to "Creighton Pizza".

Timber:
You obviously have a seriously distorted perspective with regards to Dr. Dobson and Focus on the Family.
BUG:
Dr. Dobson is neither a fire and Brimstone preacher, nor a send me your money televangelist. He is a psychologist and author who has a radio show that deals with social issues from a Christian perspective. It's primarily an interview show, highlighting on person's personal struggles with a given issue. He's the most down to earth, compassionate, articulate guy you'd ever meet.
