Love Guru

I saw It Sunday, I personally liked it. It got terrible reviews but I'm really glade I saw it. J.T was the best french goalie ever. what did you guys think of it? Its kind of hard to follow up Austin powers but I still give it a thimbs up. Not the greatest movie, but I'll buy it and get a t shirt! Plus Justin had sweet gear... the only thing that bothered me was the timeout called during play.

5- hole trap!

I said it when I played today, haha

Jacques "le coq" Grande...

ROFL!

Actually, the funniest part of the movie was the concept of the Leafs winning the cup, lol.

The unintentional comedy in Sudden Death was funnier than this movie.

A few local guys who play for Buff State were "red wings" in this movie. A girl I work with was telling me about it Saturday (her bf plays at buff state with them) and there was an article in the paper about it today

I knew this comment would come out and I figured it would likely be someone from out west but that was faster than even I predicted....

I heard a review on CBC radio that said that what the Love Guru is to movies, the Leafs are to hockey these days. That bad.

I just don't understand why it HAD to be Toronto in the movie. I'll never understand the fascination with that city... And, yes, I have visited it several times. Nothing special, the Montreal night life is way better.

Mike Myers is from Scarborough, Ont., and an admitted Leafs fan. I'm assuming that had something to do with it.

I saw it. It was decent. They did Hockey totally wrong though.

- Kings v. Leafs in Finals? Yeah ... (I understand Myers is a Leafs fan, but the Kings?)

- The penalty shot creates a running clock? Wtf?

- The constant offsides with Ronoake's (sp?) jumping (uncalled). He pulled himself offsides like three times in one play.

- Timeout during play. Multiple timeouts, iirc.

There's more, but that is just what I could remember. Plus, the actor had hardly any skill and looked like he was going to fall over during the practice-shooting scene. At least Emilo learned and could do those scenes that required his face.

I agree with the post above. Maybe the closest Leafs have got to a final was the kings... or the French goalie represented Huet, who was drafted.. but that is doubtful. Maybe La was the only team to give permission.
My favourite part was Mike Myers with Kayne (sp?) West cheering when the Leafs won

Wow what a shock, a comedy called Love Guru didn't have a totally accurate portrayal of pro hockey.
