Two movies, maybe, three, worth watching. One CD that's tolerable. Rushing for 2003 yards, in the snow, was cool.

Altogether, capital punishment would not have robbed the world of their "talents".

THat was a big case if I recall correctly. WHat a waste of tax payer's money for such a outcome.

I'm not saying the verdict was right, but what is OJ doing in there?

He was tried and acquitted by a court of law. It is hardly justice not being served, rather he was found not guilty of the crimes in question.

Dunno...guess I am too much into due process and rule of law.

Yeah, it's not like he was found guilty or caught in the act like the others on the list and had then served 3 days in jail and did some community service.

And actually, you could put most celebrities and athletes who have ever gotten in trouble with the law on this list...

Hotel California says it pretty good or even better:

Rehab by Amy Winehouse

"They tried to make me go to rehab
I said no, no, no.
Yes I been black, but when I come back
You wont know, know, know.

I ain’t got the time
And if my daddy thinks im fine
He’s tried to make me go to rehab
I wont go, go, go.

I’d rather be at home with ray
I ain’t got 70 days
Cos there’s nothing, nothing you can teach me
That I can't learn from Mr. Hathaway

Didn’t get a lot in class
But I know it don’t come in a shot glass

They’re tryin to make me go to rehab
I said no, no, no
Yes I been black, but when I come back
You wont know, know, know.

I aint got the time,
And if my Daddy thinks im fine,
He’s tried to make me go to rehab,
I wont go, go, go.

The man said, why you think you here?
I said, I got no idea
Im gonna, im gonna loose my baby
So I always keep a bottle near

Said, I just think you’re depressed
Kiss me, yeah baby
And go rest

I’m tryin to make me go to rehab
I said no, no, no
Yes I been black, but when I come back
You wont know, know, know

I don’t ever wanna drink again
I just, ooo, I just need a friend
Im not gonna spend 10 weeks
Have everyone think im on the mend

It’s not just my pride
It’s just til these tears have dried

They’re tryin to make me go to rehab
I said no, no, no
Yes I been black, but when I come back,
You wont know, know, know

I aint got the time,
And if my daddy thinks im fine
He’s trying to make me go to rehab
I wont go, go, go.

then again Ms. Winehouse has emphysema at the tender age of 24 which will take her out much earlier than the other celebs on that list: CBBC Newsround | UK | Amy Winehouse has lung disease

Quote:
On 23 June 2008 a spokesperson for Winehouse confirmed that she has been diagnosed with early signs of what could lead to emphysema.[90] Mitch Winehouse reported that his daughter's lungs are operating at 70 percent capacity. In addition he said she has an irregular heartbeat. Mr. Winehouse said these problems were caused by her chain cigarette smoking and crack cocaine usage. The singer’s father also reported that doctors have warned Winehouse that continued smoking of crack cocaine will result in her having to wear an oxygen mask and will be fatal.[91] In a radio interview Mitch Winehouse said the singer is responding "fabulously " to treatment which includes being covered with nicotine patches.[92] British Lung Foundation spokesperson Dr. Keith Prowse noted this type of condition can be managed with treatment. Prowse also said the condition is not normal for a person her age but "heavy smoking and inhaling other substances like drugs can age the lungs prematurely".[93] Dr. Norman H. Edelman, Chief Medical Officer for the American Lung Association explained that if she stopped smoking her lung functions would decline at the rate of a normal person but continued smoking would lead to a more rapid decline in lung function.[94]

Winehouse was released from the hospital following a stay of nearly a week and returned to work but is still required to report to the hospital for continuing treatment. Photographs of the singer with a cigarette in her mouth taken 23 June 2008 were widely published the next day.[95]

Kroeger paid the same minimum fine that any Joe Blow here in BC would have had to pay, the fact that he has more money is technically irrelevant. Ditto with the fact that he lost his license, just cause he has enough money to pay someone to drive him around does not mean he should be punished further than everyone else. He did lose his license for more than the minimal 3 months.

Do I think the penalty for DWI is too light? Certainly. But again, that's a whole different situation.

Do they really get off easily? I mean if you or I got into the same predicament like the guys on the list (DUI, drug possession, etc.) and we go through rehab and change, we can pretty much forget our "mistakes" and move on. We don't have people bringing up what we did 10-15 years ago like you did there.

Of them all, THIS one seems to be far and away the worst in my mind:

11. WHO: Rebecca Gayheart ('Beverly Hills 90210' alum)
CHARGE: Reckless driving.
DESCRIPTION: Gayheart swerved around stopped cars and fatally struck a 9-year-old boy walking across the street.
SENTENCE: Community service; making a driving safety video.

Not really. The other ones are just as bad.. the little guy was just unlucky enough to be in her path. The other ones could have turned out exactly the same.

I loathe impaired drivers with every fibre of my being. I could tell you a plethora of stories of all of the idiots who got off with ridiculous sentences or were blatantly guilty and never convicted. It's absolutely sickening.

I've also heard about Kroeger's behaviour that night with the Surrey RCMP, and have zero respect for him... like impaired driving wasn't bad enough.
