Your backyard is a good place to start. I myself haven't even really heard of any facilities so to speak. Yea, there are sponsored tournaments sometimes, but most games are just played at parties or get togethers.

Most of the people I know, put water in the cups and keep a beer in hand for just that reason.

Ah, beer pong, such uhhh fuzzy memories.

I'll have to make myself a nice table for up here so I can play with Kevin and Doc Holliday, get some bragging rights going on. We'll have to fill half the cups with Smirnoff Ice for Kev though...

That's probably more accurate.

Around here, beer pong is a way of life haha. That cubs table is badass. A good variant not mentioned here is flip pong (a combination of beer pong and flip cup). You set up a standard game of either 6 or 10 cup (no giant game here) and you get 4-5 people on one side matched up to 4-5 people on the opposing side. Everyone on the starting side gets a ball. People can throw out of order or whatever, but when a cup is made, a flip cup race is held on the sides of the table between the thrower and the matched person. If the thrower wins then the original cup is removed. If the opponent wins then the ball is taken out and the cup is left on the table. It becomes a lot of fun when more people are involved.

Another thing I suggest for those with smooth table types is the rubber mat underneath the cups. You can get it for like a buck at wally world. It is the beaded rubber that is put in veggie drawers in refrigerators. You can cut a triangle or whatever and set the cups on there which prevents the lovely "drifting cup" syndrome. Plus it helps when you play against asswipes who wing the ball at the back row trying to knock the cups off the table.

Man now I wanna go make an awesome table...
