Not on the record or knowingly in front of a camera. I am pretty sure Rev. Jackson and Sharpton have been caught on camera calling each other bros and "niggas"

Yes, it is a terrible double-standard, but it is even more terrible that you feel the need to use it. If they want to keep themselves down, let them live up to the stereotype.

Judge Smails: Ty, what did you shoot today?
Ty Webb: Oh, Judge, I don't keep score.
Judge Smails: Then how do you measure yourself with other golfers?
Ty Webb: By height.

I work with, and have a lot of friends of various skin tones. I call people with Indian origin brown, "darker skinned" individuals are black. I call them brown and black, and with this argument I asked them how they would describe themselves. Guess what: they call themselves black and brown. I asked if they would be offended if me, or anyone else called them brown or black, they said no. The only people I have ever met who were offended when I called black people black and brown people brown were white people. Are we all so careful about being racist now that we feel we can't say anything?

I left those two out of my reply for a reason. I don't consider either of those two to be overly intelligent or responsible. Both of them are doing more to hurt their own race, and only with the passage of time will their true damage be revealed.

You won't catch me using that word. None of my friends use it towards each other. Last time I checked, 41 year old white guys were commonly referred to as "victim" or "junkie" if they are found in the 'hood, or their tracing in chalk makes page 3 in the local news.

You're all a bunch of jive-talking cracka-ass honkeys.

Commissioner John Wiley Price, who is black, interrupted him with a loud "Excuse me!" He then corrected his colleague, saying the office has become a "white hole."
This fellow is obviously the one who is, if not racist, of a very convoluted mind when it comes to racial issues.

i live in the Dallas area... and all i can say is that EVERYONE groans when John Wiley Price's name is mentioned.

the guy is an idiot all the way.

who in their right friggin mind thinks that the referring to a department as a 'black hole' is a racist comment?

what astounds me is the fact that a judge near the conversation apparently demanded an apology?!?

WTF i understand johnny boy being a moron because he always has been, but how the HELL did a near by judge not understand the comment?

feel free to google johnny boy's name for plenty more moronic escapades lol.

If we have to go around referring to by their race, I prefer being referred to as black. And that articles like this make me sad for my race sometimes.

Problem is, when you read comments like that it clearly does more harm than good toward race relations and harbors nothing but resentment, clearly this guy is a cementhead.

The minority community doesn't really know what they want. As mentioned earlier there is the United Negro College Fund, but we can't call them Negros anymore. There is the NAACP for the advancement of colored people, but nope we can't call them colored people either. Now we can't use black as an adjective and have to avoid well know scientific phrases at the risk of sounding offensive, insensitive, and yes, racist.

I heard Oprah say once that she hope the world one day will be colorblind, and have heard other blacks say that they want to be embraced for their color and diversity, well which is it?

It is all very tiring.
