Sarah Palin resigning as Alaska Governor

Palin stepping down this month - CNN.com

I could ramble about the political ramifications of her resignation, but I'll leave that to some of the more seasoned guys.

Instead, I do know someone, in Iowa, who thinks Sarah Palin is a GMILF. Well my friend, she's got time. In fact, her calendar for August is completely open. Maybe you and her could take a scenic helicopter ride around the state and shoot some wolves. I'm sure you'll impress her with your mad Deer Hunter skillz.

LOL!!!

She's getting assassinated by the people in her own party. She'll never surface again other than maybe as a commentator on Fox News.

The stuff that is going on in the Vanity Fair articles and a few other places, with the released emails of the campaign are making her look like an amateur and an insecure woman in what has been a man's profession.

Good riddance??? You Betcha!

I don't live in Alaska, so I don't care. She is and has been of no relevance to national politics.

You bozo's who are putting her down, don't know what your talking about. She's the only one I've seen that seems to want to do the right thing. She's not afraid of doing the right thing, and going against the big boys. It was easy for the big boys to make her look bad, because they are all back stabbers. Even the ones in her own party. They don't want to do the right thing. They just want to keep their pockets full, and have power. The thing that most people don't seem to understand, is that neither side gives a s#@t about any of us. They just want the power. We need more like her.

Helicopter rides around here would be about as scenic as Palin's competence in politics. It wouldn't be a very scenic ride unless you happen to be a raging feminazi.

I'm with you on this, and I think Sarah ROCKS! I stand for the same principles she does, and hope for great things for her, personally and politically.

Well, what better time than to make my 1st post!

Hi everyone! I DO live in Alaska and I can tell you that most of us are glad she is resigning. She has made a sham of the office for over a year now and it won't get any better. Her popularity has dropped immensely in state (not out of state though as those people don't get to watch her screw up on a daily basis) and she is to much of a Diva to let that happen.

Take it not only from an Alaskan, but as someone who lives all of 8 miles away from her, we are glad to see her go and if any of you want her, please take her.

I do agree on the GMILF though..... That there is no dispute!

I like the idea of what she stands for i.e. changing up "politics as usual." I just think that there are probably a thousand other people who could bring that message across more effectively, be taken more seriously and doesn't have all the extra baggage. Her political career was done when she let the media box her into a crazy ignorant stereotype. Whether or not she is or is not at this point is irrelevant. That is how most people perceive her now and it's her own doing.

Dude, if your implying that she's a "feminazi", you should learn what it means. She is the complete opposite of this.

And what do you know about her competence? Except what you read. You know nothing about the woman. I don't claim to either, but I won't damn her, going by what the media tells me.

Helicopter rides here really aren't that scenic. We only got Dubbya fly out here when the whole damn state flooded.

Palin and Sanford. Ouch tough week for the big R. Btw I think Palin was a sideshow and never really considered a true 2012 candidate

Where is the future of the GOP?
That one kid is like 14, so who is there from here to then?
It seems like Newt is being recycled, but can he derail the Obama train?
