The Co-directors/Head Instructors for Mind The Net Goaltending is Travis Harrington and Ian Robertson. Travis and Ian are involved in all aspects of MTN Camps both on and off the ice offering common philosophies and different perspectives on goaltending. Mind The Net is based out of Saskatchewan, Canada.
Travis Harrington (Co-director/Instructor)
Travis is a goaltender who has played successfully at the Midget “AAA”, Junior “A”, College (ACAC), and CIS levels. As a student of the game and goaltending for over 15 years, Travis has a working knowledge of the challenges and rewards that come with being a goaltender, and a keen eye for the newest trends in today’s hockey. Since Travis became a goaltender, Ian Robertson (MTN Co-director/Instructor) has been Travis’ goalie coach and mentor so it only made sense that the two would pair up to bring their goaltending knowledge to goalies of all ages.
Away from the rink Travis is happily married to his wife Stefanie (official MTN photographer) and proud father of his son, Mason. A loving extended family of parents John and Jean and siblings Graeme and Jessica help to complete a fulfilling family life for Travis. Travis holds his B.Ed. from the University of Saskatchewan and is currently teaching high school English in Meadow Lake, SK. It is with great pride that Travis Harrington has helped to make Mind The Net Goaltending a rising star in Saskatchewan hockey circles.

Ian Robertson (Co-director/Instructor)
When Ian Robertson’s son started playing goal 19 years ago, little did Ian know the impact goaltending would have on him. Initially, Ian made the typical parent mistakes, too little of a goal stick, too bulky of equipment.
It was during his son’s first exposure to a goalie camp that Ian realized that there was more to this position than met the eye. Since that time he has developed a passion for goaltending and has explored any experience that would help him get a better understanding of the position.
Ian has been an instructor at Geoff Brand’s Goaltending Dynamics and a Saskatchewan area rep for Ian Clark’s, Goaltender Development Institute and has published an article("Just Stop the Puck?") in From the Crease (GDI).
Ian has over 17 years coaching experience and has personally had a hand in developing various goalies at the Minor, Midget AAA, Junior and University levels.
Ian married his wife Susan in 1982 and they have three children.
Blair (Born 1983): a goaltender completed his scholarship to RMC (CIS) with his Mechanical Engineering Degree
Dyan (Born 1984): Graduated 2006 in Honours Psychology, University of Saskatchewan
Rian (Born 1985): Attending University of Waterloo in Mathematics
MTN not only allows Ian the opportunity to stay involved in goaltending and hockey but the contact with the young goaltenders helps him delay the aging process, if ever so slightly.
