Hello all, thanks for all of the contributions to the thread (even those of you from Edmonton...heh, heh).

Mind The Net would love to go to Edmonton for a clinic but there are many things that would have to fall in place for this to happen. First, we would have to wait until the New Year for a couple of reasons:

1. We are going to 10 different communities(10 weekends) this fall doing our Minor Hockey Weekend Camps.

2. Then we are stopping in late November until my wife and I have our second little rugrat around Christmas time.

Some other considerations that would have to be addressed:

- We would probably only run a clinic with a max of 8 goalies on the ice at one time. We could jam more on the ice but we do things a little differently.

- Travel, accomodation, ice rentals, reading materials for each goaltender and time would all have to be covered through registration costs. Unfortunately, we live 4-5 hours away from Edmonton.

- A significant part of what we do involves classroom sessions as well so are people interested in the mental training aspects as well?

- We would need two 1 1/2 hours on-ice sessions/day. The first is strictly for GSM and transition. The second session is with shooters.

- We would need guaranteed registrations well in advance to ensure our availability.

- Ice availability is usually at a premium unless we go to a small town outside of Edmonton.

If all of this can be done we could probably run a clinic for anyone interested. If there continues to be this kind of interest please pm myself or post in this thread in October or November to get the ball rolling. I hope we don't sound too demanding but this is the reality of how we run our clinics.

Thanks for posting and keep them coming!

For the second point: I don't mind paying a premium for having you guys come out here. Also saves me the trouble of driving all the way out to Saskatchewan.

I've recently become *very* interested in the mental aspects of the game, since I'm a streaky goalie to begin with.

There are quite a few rinks around Edmonton that could be used. Sherwood Park has many and so does St. Albert, to name the larger suburbs.

I'll guarantee attendance now (dibs on the first spot!), and will check by here in October to see how things are progressing.

I am interested in this as well. If we cant get the locals together i would be willing to go to Saskatchewan for this. I saw today in the Sun that airfare on Westjet was $69 one way. Might be an option.
