Mind The Net Goaltending has now been in operation for four years. During the past few years we have seen our students make the jump into elite hockey with several alumni earning great accomplishments in the SMAAAHL, PJHL, SJHL, MJHL, SIJHL and CIS leagues.
This upcoming fall we will have our first student to play NCAA Division I and may have representation in the WHL very soon, as well. These are exciting times at MTN for a number of reasons:
1. We have made improvements to our registration process with the various services we have to offer. We are continuig to make ourselves as approachable as possible by phone or e-mail or through our travels throughout Saskatchewan.
2. Our website has been improved as well. We still have our library of articles, which will remain free, that is being added to once a month. Bi-monthly newsletters are still available by e-mail. We have upgraded our links page with a number of highly recommended resources from the Human Kinetics website that are hockey and sport psychology based
Mind the Net.
3. As part of our web services we have made available a
FREE GOALTENDER SPECIFIC TRAINING PROGRAM made specifically by the Sport Medicine and Science Council of Saskatchewan. This program can be viewed at our website and will soon be available in printable pdf format. Check out
Mind the Net . Let us know what you think.
4. MTN apparel is now in stock and will also be available off of the MTN website. Prices and pictures will be posted soon. Available apparel includes:
- Hats
- T-shirts with "MTN Goaltending" on the front and "The Four P's of Practice" on the back.
-Long sleeve hockey underwear with MTN Goaltending on the front and the "Four P's" on the back, as well
-Golf shirts
-MTN track suits.
5. We have hired Top Prospects student Graeme Harrington as an instructor for the summer, except for the first Top Prsopects camp which he will be attending. Other Top Prospects students will be guest instructors, TBA.
6. We have sold out our elite level camps and look forward to the challenge of working with the top young goaltending talent from Saskatchewan.
7. Continued affiliation with the Beardy's Midget "AAA" Blackhawks.
8. Strong response from this sub-forum has also been very encouraging which translates into the continuation of the sub-forum.
As you can see, things are looking up for MTN Goaltending. Keep your eyes open for updates to services on our website and on this forum for upcoming Adult Clinics (sometime in August) and semi-private instruction opportunities. Any time something new or exciting is happening with MTN we will post in this thread.
