Exclamation Performance Goaltending Toronto April & May Clinics

I am starting this thread with the final details for the Performance Goaltending Toronto GSBB Sunday Afternoon Clinics, April 13, April 27, May 4 & May 11th.

Registration will be capped at a maximum 18 goalies for a maximum 3:1 goalie to instructor teaching ratio. Ice time has been increased to 2 hours for this session and will include a Performance Goaltending goalie cut jersey as well as 1 hour of video review and classroom discussion each week.

Location:

Same as always, Canlan Victoria Park Arena (formerly New Centre Ice Arena) located at 3550 Victoria Park Avenue, Toronto. Map link: ArenaMaps.com | Canlan Ice Sports (Centre Ice Arena) | North York | ON | Canada

Start Times:

Classroom video review, theory and concept discussion will begin at 1:00 pm and end at 2:00 pm. The room is located directly across from the Pro Shop.

We are on the ice at 2:30 pm and will be finished at 4:30 pm.

Basic Agenda:

The classroom discussion will be focused on key concepts with supporting game video & photo examples. We will take on ice video each week and will use this footage to discuss individual technique and areas that are strong and areas in need of improvement.

These optional classroom sessions are designed to help the goalie start to "think" about the position and how adjustments might positively affect their game.

The major theme will centre around "connecting the dots", a broad concept we have coined to help goalies bring all the basic elements together in a coordinated strategy. Special emphasis will be given to reading and anticipating plays, appropriate technique selection, angles, depth selection and much more.

The on ice sessions will be capped at 3:1 with 6 stations. The information we discussed in class will then be applied on ice so the concepts can be brought to reality.

We will maintain a goalie specific power skating element, as this clearly is the key to becoming a better goalie.

Payment Information:

NEW PAYMENT POLICY:

Full payment is due as soon as you commit to the session.

If you commit by posting on the GSBB thread and payment is not received immediately*, I will remove your name and invite the next person on the wait list.

* If some time is needed to transfer funds please contact me right away and we can discuss options. I will work with you and try to accommodate individual situations. I have had to implement this policy because too many people say the are "in" and then pull the chute at the last minute leaving everyone in a bad situation.

Preferred payment can be made by PayPal via the Performance Goaltending website. Here is the link to the website: Payment . Click on the Buy It Now button to pay using a cash transfer or credit card .

Alternatively, you may pay by cheque but it must be in my mailbox by April 9th - please contact me to confirm this arrangement. Mailing info is available on the above noted link under contact info.

The cost for the 4 sessions will be $320.00 (4x$80) and includes a jersey.

For those of you who cannot attend all 4 sessions, you are welcome to sell your spot to someone else but you will need to facilitate the sale yourself. Payment in full for all 4 sessions is required up front.

Please note, there are no refunds or 'credits' carried forward to future sessions.

Referral Program:

For those of you interested in saving money at future clinics, I have implemented a referral 'thank you' program.

My greatest source of business has always been referrals from my clientele. If you refer a new client my way, and we conduct a private or semi-private lesson together, I will deduct 50% off one future clinic session. If you have any questions, call or e-mail me for details.

Roster:

Please, if you cannot attend or have changed your mind, let me know asap and I will try to find a substitute for you.

As of April 14, 7:40 pm

1) Ken Chan - Pd. (chq)
2) Paul Oldershaw - Pd.
3) Brent Gleason - Pd.
4) Willie Bernert - Pd. (chq)

Quiet day at work, so I decided to sign up.

I can't make the May 4th date though - anyone want to take my place?

Did Dave get tired of you calling him a big jerk every time he did that to you?

I will get the 'test screened jersey' Mon or Tues and then once we agree on the details I will have them finalized and will post something as soon as I can. Should be by Friday at the latest...

Wellsie,
Will this clinic be a continuation on what we were doing in March, or is it going to review a lot of the same points? No matter what, in case you hadn't noticed, I could still use the practice!!!

This will be a continuation from the last 4 sessions.

Necessarily, there will be some overlap on key concepts and drills but we will be introducing new concepts and skills every week.

And I had not noticed that you could still use the practice - thanks for pointing that out!

Cheers.

Looks like I can't make the April 27 session due to work commitments. If anyone would like to buy the spot from me, please PM me.
