1.shouldn't we lock the official Vortek thread and start here.
2. Or we start a new section for it just like the photos.

thanks, TB!

I had an order put in for a pair of VK7s about a week ago... Apparently the wait time is only 4 weeks

But heh, I'm not complaining!

My order for my pads/gloves went in on March 5th and I received my pads on Monday, April 16th (somehow there was a shipping error that caused a delay). The gloves have not arrived yet, so be careful in thinking that you will have them by the 4 week mark!

We discussed and said to leave it as is. As folks start to post here instead of that thread, the thread will drop to the depths of the archive, and things will be just fine.

BTW - Any of you Vortek Owners, please feel free to post your gear in the picture forum, even if it's already been posted to the official thread!

Craig, your gloves will be shipped this week. We were down for a few weeks while Glenn organized his production line after Dave left. The next orders will hit the 3-4 week mark(that is production time). As we get going the times may extend out a bit on newly booked orders, Chenners and Glover30's will go into production week after next. Glenn is head strong about meeting schedules at this point. I am following his lead. He does not want to let anyone down.

Plus we lost a week when DHL sent you package to Maine and a week to get up to Nova Scotia, so he did hit the four week mark on the pads. It is hard to figure the shipping time internationally, sometimes 2 days other times 10.

Marc

Alrighty...

I can first off say that Marc at Vortek is a rad guy plain and simple.

The Vortek gear is amazing. The VK5 gloves I got are amazingly light and broke in perfectly in almost no time at all. I have ZERO bad things to say about the gloves. The Vortek VK7 pads I bought are also just unreal to say the very least. Light as air, they fit wonderfully, theyre built great.

Overall I will say that my entire Vortek experience has been 100% positive thus far and I am completely happy with the transaction and the gear that resulted from it.

Thanks Marc, thanks Glen and thanks Vortek.

I tried to post this to the gallery - don't know if it worked, or if it will end up in my personal gallery - the wording on the upload page suggested the latter - anyway, here's some pics.

And my old set of VK3's

Marc -

Thanks for the reply! Great to hear that my gloves are done and being shipped this week. Can't wait to get them!

Just as an aside, the only reason I was posting my order/ship times was to provide my reality to the user who just ordered and was quoted 4 weeks. I am glad that with Glenn on board now, that production times will be adhered to.

I will second the comment above that Vortek has been a company with great customer service and excellent gear! I loved my VK5 set and so far the VK7 pads have been a real treat! In my opinion, they are a marked improvement over the VK5s, which was a tall task.

Thanks again -

Craig

Had the opportunity to try out the VK7 demo pads last night...freakin' awesome!!!

I liked everything about these pads, the weight, fit, flexability, rebound control, landing gear, rotation, leg channel, knee cradle and especially the way they sealed the 5 hole. The demo set is a 33+2, and after talking with Marc, my order will lkely be 33+2.5. How cool is that!

Great job "Team Vortek", you have a real winner here!

Anybody with vk5 or vk7 gloves who lives in Calgary?? I am dying to try these gloves, especially the catch. I will buy one straight away, if I like how it feels, I just dont know anyone locally who has one.

To ship Express Mail into Canada is now $36.00-$50.00. That is the only safe way to get them up there. If anyone is willing to pay that freight I have no problem with it.

For me to layout that kind of money sort of kills the old profit.

Jut, at The Goalie Shop has VK7 Gloves.
