14 week wait time?

Hey Fellas,

I recently purchased a V5K full right trapper at the Hockey Shop in Surrey. After I paid, the salesman(I use that term VERY loosely) said the wait time would be 14 weeks. Is this the going wait time? I'm in no hurry was just wondering.

Just a comment about the buying experience. It was brutal. There's a reason I only go there when I can't get what I want within a hundred mile radius. I knew more about the product then the sale people did. I just hope that they get my order right. Anyway I didn't post this to beef about their stellar performance, just to ask about wait times.

Here's hoping that I have finally found a trapper that will finally feel as good as my long retired D.R quantum.

Feel free to PM if you have any questions.

Wow, that is a long wait time. Perhaps Vortek puts precedence (and so they should) over customers dealing with them directly vs potential bulk orders through stores?

I was quoted 4-6wks for my VK7 set, and they're supposed to arrive next week, which would put it closer to 4wks wait time.

4 week wait time for regular goalies.

14 weeks for you goofy-foot goalies. Takes a while to turn all the pieces around!!!

Seriously though...PM Colonial. He'll give you the straight scoop.

Impatient people like me can't wait 14 weeks!!! I'm dying over here waiting for my set!!

We received the order today. They were quoting wait times before Glenn took over. It will not take longer than 8 weeks to get your glove in your hands.

I do not blame them for quoting 14 weeks, I really doubt we ever even delivered to them that quickly. We really let them down in the past and it hurt our company, and Glenn will not let it happen again. The Hockey Shop is a great reatailer and we want to continue to produce product for them.

They should be done the end of next week, you are going to have to wait another week or so for the gear to ship to me and I send them up to Canada. I do all the international shipping. So they will be in your hands by the time 6 weeks rolls around.

You know we are waiting for the purple and green techno to ship in. And of course the extra time for you custom graphics because you need the graphic to stop that puck.

Twenty - Six weeks seems to be the number in my head.

Fine. I'll just sit here & bitch about it.

Civic,
Please send me an email ( mike96 @ gmail dot com )

I work at the hockey shop occasionally, and I'd really like to talk to you about how it went. I'd hope that I know more about the products than you, but that's questionable

Also, it says you're in New West? (Doesn't that put the shop in a 100 mile radius? ) Seriously though, I play out in New West fairly often. Maybe we could meet up sometime?

And I also think you're going to love the Vortek glove. I currently have a VK5 and a VK7 glove. I've sold a VK5 Quadraflex glove and a VK5 old NHL spec glove. I'm currently waiting on 3 more VK7 trappers. So, yes, I do like the product.

Is there a reason you went with the VK5 over the VK7?

Mike

Mike IS the guy to go to for gear questions in Van/New West. He has some fantasmic gear. If you meet up with him, ask to see his Sportsmask T3.

Mike, you gotta find a way to be posterboy for Sportsmask... that thing is sick, and made me want to use my VISA for a T3 and paintjob. Thank God I was able to realize I'm already in enough debt... could have been disastrous.
