nice mitts!!!
if you want them broken in right, get a Shark Steamer and steam them...it will speed up the break-in A LOT!!!

they're pretty cheap, mine was like $30. you can also find them on Craigslist for like $10.
or you can do it the old fashioned way...play with them a lot!

Couple minutes in the skate bake oven, hold the glove shut as you want it to break.

I ran boiling hot water into the glove and played with it awhile(while it was cool enough) then set a heavy (25LB) weight on the glove while it was closed, this is how i break in all my gloves, works so good, you wont believe how much faster they break in like this.

i wish i had a skate bake oven.... could come in handy. but id rather break em in the old fashioned way. gonna play catch with it and a tennis ball(all on my lonesome), and throw a few pucks into it repeatedly. and play with it. keepin it real simple, the way i like it.

No need to tie those pads. Keep them upside-down for a few days, all will be good.

I was actually talking about tying them to the skates..... but what do you mean by upside-down? there are quite a few of upside downs for a pad that i can think of.

When you're drying the pads, put them upside down. It will help get a nice curve.
As far as tying the toe ties, you'll have to play with it. I added about 1/2" of knots to my toe ties to help the rotation of the pads, it helped A LOT!! Play with it a few times until you get it the way you like it.

Just to further simplify.....by upside down, he means so the thighrise is on the ground rather than the boot.
I found the boot needs a little working in, so I just sat around and watched tv and flexed the boot with my hands. So far it has worked out. A cool, but subtle touch is the little piece of material on the side of the boot for holding the boot strap. I've never seen that and I thought it was neat.
