Post plastic sliders on leg pads / legal or illegal ?

Hey fellas,

Want to know if attaching plastic sheet cutouts on leg pads to help sliding across the crease is legal or illegal for goalies in inline hockey / PIHA.

Taken from the PIHA 2007 rulebook:

Rule 16 - Goalkeepers equipment

(a) With the exception of skates and sticks, all the equipment worn by the goalkeeper musy be constructed solely for the protection of the head and body, and must not include any garment or contrivance which would give the goalkeeper undue assistance in goalkeeping.

(c)(2) The use of solvents, oils, or waxes on a goaltender's leg pads to enhance sliding capability is prohibited.

Now obviously part (c)(2) does not apply to plastic leg sliders attached to your leg pads, but does part (a) kind of suggest that with the "contivance" part ?

Any replies to this is appreciated.
