Vortek C/a

I was wondering if VORTEK will be producing a chest pad anytime soon. I know that David Agatone made a few (and he's no longer with Vortek) and Glenn Miller was also known for having a good C/A and I was just curious to know if we can expect one from VORTEK in the new year?

Not that I can add much, but Glenn mentioned to me that they were working on one when I was working through him to get my pads and gloves done a year and a half ago... That might have come to naught considering how much has changed for Vortek since then...

Glenn, will be updating his C&A for sales in the second quarter of 2008. The C&A will be his E2 model with some cosmetic changes for store appeal. It will be without a doubt one of the top units for mobility and protection on the market.

I removed some of the elbow floater padding and also changed the back pad, started using it and have not gone back. So far its great. Its light, mobile and very protective. I like it now better than my old vaughn 4000. I hope he starts making them again. The investment is totally worth it.

The original elbows were killer! I mean, you would not feel a thing, but they were a little too buff for my tastes.

No kidding eh? I had been trying to hold off to see if Vortek came out with anything. But with nothing on the horizon and my old Vaughn 4000 is starting to rip apart in several areas so I had to bite the bullet and order a new Vaughn. It's too bad I can't hold off any longer.

Ya im in the same boat. My 553 is gettin old and im startin to feel a few shots to the chest, the arms are holdin up fine. I gotta do something soon, and once i get a c/a i wear it till it gets beat and old! Maybe Glenn can whip me up a prototype.
