It's not like the pads are completey diffrenet.. I just used old_g's template and a basic Vaughn one. I just don't want the scenerio where one of my designs could have been number 1 but since it wasn't in the right format i got disqualified.

You can provide any template you have available. The VK8 will not be the same face front as the VK7, the template provided it really a VK7.
There will be two versions of the VK8, a Senior (offshore) and a Pro. The winner will get the Pro Version. Offshore version will be named differently, similar to the RBK line.

Maybe the VK7.5 for offshore.

As Marc said, feel free to use whatever template you want. The templates on the page were provided so that there was something available for those wishing to make a submission.
And Canadians are welcome to participate.
