Probably not as much as the guy on the breakaway appreciated having enough time to stop, change directions and then take a shot. WTF? A little bit of help from a backchecker please?

Backcheckers? They expect him to control the puck and pass it out to them at the other side of the red line, where they're waiting impatiently.

He's supposed to distract them, too. He's practicing that in this video.

Yup. Glenn Miller made the C/A for him along with the gloves and pads. It took only minor changes from the C/A Glenn had been making under his own name to make it NHL legal, and it says VORTEK on it. It is a GREAT unit. Nate had been wearing a Brown 2000, but won't go back.
I promised Glenn that I wouldn't mention the C/A publicly, so I didn't. Glenn, if you're reading this: I hope you're ready for a flood of requests for the C/A. I didn't blow your cover, it's not my fault; it's Marc's.
As a point in passing, Nate's pants say "Miller" on them, too. Glenn didn't want to do pants just yet, and Paul Fricker made these for us. They're the best Nate's ever had, and Paul did them just before he closed his business. We're hoping that they'll hold up until Glenn is ready to expand back into doing goalie pants.

Marc...I hear Wall-Mart is looking for a few good floor salesmen
Don't worry, alot of us have been breathing down Glenn's neck to make 'em again.
On a side note...if Vortek doesn't make pants, McKenney are by far top notch...worth the look. I've owned 3 pairs (currently using the Instincts) and can't complain. Faced 80mph + shots with no trouble.
Now...MORE ACTION PICS PLEAAAAAASSSEEEE!
