I loved the VK7 graphic, if i order a pair of vortek's i'd most definitly be getting that design! The graphic that one is great and has many different possibilities as far as colours go!

If you are upset that your graphic did not win, get over it. If you did not enter one then don't be a critic. Just say congrats to the winner and move along. After all it's just a graphic, and graphics don't stop pucks. Which leads me to asking, if that's the Vortek mantra why the hell is there a thread with people condeming the graphic?
Graphics sells pads. I did not enter. For most its about whats on the face.

People are allowed to have an opinion on things they may potentially spend a lot of money to get

Somehow the public (potential buyers) should have had a say in the graphic that was chosen.

I don't really agree with that. They have full right to decide what they have as their brand representation. If there was a public vote, they could have been "stuck" with something that would be difficult for them to reproduce.

OMG dude......you do have a say.......if you don't like......don't buy.

A company letting non-shareholders decide what is right for the company is a poor business decision.

Where else can you get the special treatment of customization and price than with the small guy. Now you are asking to shape their business plan to boot.

I already bought my V7's, so I am not sucking up. You will never make 100% of the people 100% of the time.

Just sayin....

Really? What?

I think performance and quality sells a product.

BTW, we got over 100 PM's about the graphics. The one chosen was picked by over 75% of those PM's.

Most goalies I know would play with a chicken leg graphic if they could reduce there goals against by .5 a game.

Graphics do not stop pucks!!!

Remember, there are many different opinions. Some will like it some will not. One thing I hope everyone keeps in mind, is that this was a pretty cool contest. I give the people at Vortek (Marc & Glenn) a lot of credit for giving the customers a chance to design the graphic of their next item. I would be very surprised to see RBK do something like that.

Marc's approach to keeping this company small in approach I think needs a lot of credit. Awesome customer service, great input and product from Glenn, and the fact that he includes everyone on so many aspects of the company. It's almost as if you are all a part of Vortek's growth. He has shown posters before going into production, jersey designs, and now pad designs. I can't think of any other comaany that has shared this development with their end users.

Like the graphic or not, let see how the performance is. If you like the performance and quality of the new pad, but not the graphic, a solid color could always be chosen. I do think that the customer would want a cool graphic (whether or not it helps stop pucks), but I know for a fact that Vortek would never be able to please everyone. And, yes, production ability is a huge part of it.

I think the graphic looks good, but then that's my opinion. I also like the chicken legs!

Yeah, I agree that it is 100% vortek's choice, but it would have been cool(like with design the jersey thread) that Vortek coulda picked out maybe 5 designs(that were easy enough to remake) and had us vote, narrow it down and vote for your favorite out of the three. I didn't like the new graphic but if 75 out of the 100pms liked the graphic well i stand corrected then. Early I asked if there was a possibility we could get the VK7 or VK5 graphic on the VK8.

I like it. As soon as it was submitted I knew it would win. I just wish i coulve thought of something decent. Also not everybody will like the graphic and if you don't, that sucks. Its not about what just the board wants its a company trying to make money by apealing to the majority not a bunch of people.
