Thigh boards go over the pants, thigh guards strap directly to your legs. Thigh boards are illegal in the NHL, while thigh guards are legal.

And thigh guards are legal in every league

What did you do to the blocker to bring out its leather qualities. I see in the first shot it is fairly flat in color. A later picture seems as if something has been applied to it.

No, thigh rise is part of the pad. The part from teh top knee break to the top of the pad is the thigh rise

I live with my dad, and he hates my gear... It smells! especially after a game... If i move out I might haveto turn the kitchen into storage judging by housing prices in vancity
