The glove looks real pancake'd. Do the VK7's come like that of was it an option? Any side view shots of the deep pocket?

It's gonna be 32+3, 2 breaks, softer boot, and as thin a thighrise as possible. I'm stoked, and best of all, no need to bug Harrison to hurry up and get tired of his set!

Dre, what's your height and ATK?

I have my old beat up VK5's that you could check out if you're wondering how you'd like them... they were 33+1 but with lots of usage and a soft boot they are a very nice and supple (bonus points for using the word supple today?) 32+2 now.
Hell I'd even sell them if you wanted a solid roller pad, unless I can get some roller going on up here in Dawson, and then they're with me until they fall apart...
What don't you like about the Smiths?

Ahahaha, preaching to the choir my friend... I know all about that statement.
If you can get the shipping together you can try them out for a while, no worries, and if you don't want to keep them, just ship them back, I'll pay half the shipping back, if that sounds fair. I'm kinda overtired right now, so if that isn't as fair as it sounds in my head, let me know, we can work something out. I'm all for helping out my fellow gearwh... goalies try out new gear.
Oh, and you still owe me pics of your vacation in St. Maarten. FB me, I'll PM you with my full name.

Found out my order didn't get put in until pretty much this week, so 12-14 more weeks to go. Sucks, because our ice is only in for about 8 months, but I'll survive. I see the orders keep pouring in, it's good to see a great company get to take care of so many GSBB members!

Dre, I'm sort of in the same boat (I think).
I originally placed my order (after winning the Ebay auction a bit earlier) on 5/8/08. Last PM from Marc on here said the build was supposed to begin last week. My latest email from Glenn said 10-12 weeks for new orders...so I'm not sure if my order is a new order or not? I know they were waiting on some parts to come in and I was told that the larger companies had first dibs...if I have to wait another 10-12 weeks though that will make my wait time at least 24 weeks...potentially 26 and then I'm at six months. Hopefully I won't, I'd be terribly disappointed.
I'm at 14 weeks and 3 days right now...

So Dre placed his order on June 20th and they are just starting them now? That's disappointing to hear.
I'm waiting on a set myself and have only heard that the original 8 weeks was pushed to 10-12. Hopefully it wasn't 10-12 from when they said "they wait will now be 10-12 weeks".

Hammy, they are not being started now... I am at a 10-12 week wait as of last week. I understand there are a lot of orders to process, I'm not mad or anything, just a little disappointed because I thought I only had a few weeks to go, and the ice goes in next week at our arena.
I kinda had it timed so it would work out that I'd get the pads and get to hit the ice in the new set, but I'll continue to wait and use my old pads in the meantime. No big deal in the grand scheme of things.

I think Dre just got his order "entered" in line. It's a small business, so I'm not sure how they "line up" orders. To be honest, I have no clue when I'm going to see mine. I figured 10-12 weeks from my order date of 5/8...but it's at 14 weeks and nothing yet. So who knows. I think since everything is all done off templates the construction time is maybe a week or less for a set, but that's assuming all the parts are available and I'm sure it depends on order volume.
Marc or Glenn would have to say who's where and when the sets should be ready. My best case scenario would be next week (15 weeks), worst-case could be 10-12 weeks from now (24-26 weeks). I'm thinking that the 10-12 week order to build timeframe is even out of date at this point...

Dre, I understand where you're coming from. I'm not mad at all either. We start our fall league in about 3 weeks, and I was hoping to have some time to get used to them before that, but I'm not sure at this point either. Our tryouts for the local amateur team aren't until the end of October, so there's still time for that. My current stuff works just fine, so it's not like I'm sitting at home wishing I could play, it would just be nice to get some time to work the new stuff in. Either way, eventually it'll be here and I'll be happy I'm sure!
